- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
- Weekday and Weekend shifts
Description of Work
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL)
- Obtain and record vital signs and weights per policy
- Answer patient calls
- Apply simple clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages under the direction of a licensed nurse, as permitted by state regulations
- Administer prescription medications and/or start IV if needed
- Give injections
- Monitor catheters
- Clean patients’ equipment and general living area, as assigned
- Dress wounds
- Assist with medical procedures
- Clean rooms and bed linens
- Interact with residents for social stimulation and emotional support
- Document patient health issues and report to nurses
Requirements
- Minimum 2-years nursing experience, preferably in a nursing home, clinical, or psychiatric setting
- Active/Clear nurse licensure valid in North Carolina
- Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
- Direct care experience within the previous year in the US
- Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
- Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
- Successful completion of other Client/facility screening/application requirements
