  • 13-week and 26-week renewable assignments
  • 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour shifts available
  • Must complete HERO training

Description of Work

  • Implement all aspects of the medication administration process including order transcriptions, procurement, and storage of supplies
  • Administer medication and treatment, and report all associated side effects
  • Document and report of patient care delivered
  • Collect lab specimens and blood glucose
  • Check vital signs
  • Respond to emergencies and perform CPR (in case of cardiopulmonary arrest
  • Provide clinical support during telehealth clinical
  • Data entry and preparation of medical records for patient transfer and medical appointments
  • Adhere to time and attendance policy and procedure
  • Adhere to the facility's policies and procedures
  • Follow HIPPA guidelines
  • All other duties as required and requested by supervisor


  • Certified as a Medical Assistant by an accrediting body
    • Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants
    • Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologists
  • Minimum 1-year current Medical Assistant experience
  • Valid NC driver's license
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Direct care experience within the previous year in the US
  • Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other Client/facility screening/application requirements, including drug screen and criminal background check
