Specifics

  • 13 and 26-week renewable assignments
  • 8-, 10-, 12-hour shifts
  • Must complete HERO training

Description of Work

  • Implement all aspects of the medication administration process, including ordering transcriptions, procurement, and storage of supplies
  • Administer medical treatment and reporting associated side effects
  • Document and report of all care delivered
  • Collect lab specimens and blood glucose
  • Check vital signs
  • Respond to emergencies and perform CPR (in case of cardiopulmonary arrest)
  • Provide clinical support during telehealth clinics
  • Data entry and preparation of medical records for transfer to medical appointments
  • Adhere to time and attendance policy and procedure
  • Adhere to the facility's policies and procedures
  • Follow HIPPA guidelines
  • All other duties as required and requested by supervisor

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active/Clear nurse certification valid in the state of North Carolina
  • Listed as Nurse Aide II with the NC Board of Nursing
  • Hold current listing as Nurse Aide I on NC Nurse Aide Registry
  • Minimum 1-year current nursing experience
  • Corrections experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Valid NC driver's license
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Direct care experience within the previous year in the US
  • Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other Client/facility screening/application requirements, including drug screen and criminal background check
