​​​​Description of Work

  • Ensure supervision of patients at all times
  • Assist patients with basic personal care, moving, and walking
  • Provide patients with emotional support
  • Monitor patients' vital signs
  • Detect changes in the patient's condition
  • Maintain records of care provided for patients
  • Supervise patient through the night
  • Monitor patient’s condition and activity
  • Alert medical staff at the first sign of a problem
  • Seek assistance from hospital staff as needed
  • Entertain the patient through conversation, reading, games, etc.

Requirements

  • Completion of Nursing Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Current/Clear Nursing Assistant (CNA) State of North Carolina certification
  • Minimum 1-year recent experience as a CNA
  • Direct care experience within the previous year
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Successful completion of screening/application requirements (e.g., competency testing, drug screening, background check)
