Certified Nursing Assistant II Description of Work

• Implement all aspects of the medication administration process, including ordering transcriptions, procurement, and storage of supplies
• Administer medical treatment and report associated side effects
• Document and report all care delivered
• Collect lab specimens and blood glucose
• Check vital signs
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR if needed
• Provide clinical support during telehealth clinics
• Data entry and preparation of medical records for transfer to medical appointments
• All other duties as required and requested by the supervisor

Certified Nursing Assistant II Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active/Clear nurse certification valid in the state of North Carolina
• Listed as Nurse Aide II with the NC Board of Nursing
• Direct care experience within the previous year in the US
• Minimum 1-year current nursing experience
• Corrections experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of screening/application requirements (e.g., competency testing, drug screening, background check)
