Job Summary

Nationalhcs is seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to act as Constant Observers in a hospital setting in Cary, NC.   BONUS OPPORTUNITY!

Description of Work

  • Ensure supervision of patients at all times
  • Assist patients with basic personal care, and to move or walk around
  • Provide patients with emotional support
  • Monitor patients' vital signs
  • Refrain from performing additional, unauthorized functions
  • Detect changes in the patient's condition
  • Maintain records of care provided for patients
  • Supervise patient through the night
  • Monitoring patient’s condition and activity
  • Alert medical staff at the first sign of a problem
  • Seek assistance from hospital staff as needed
  • Entertain patient through conversation, reading, games, etc.

Requirements

  • Active/Clear NC professional nursing assistant certification (CNA)
  • Minimum 1-year recent experience as a CNA
  • Direct care experience within the previous year
  • Basic knowledge of Nurse Aide skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and/or clinical orders
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Comply with all HIPPA laws and regulations and facility policies and procedures
  • Outstanding communication, listening, and observation skills
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other Client screening/application requirements
