Job Summary

LPN Specifics

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Correctional facility
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Shifts Available:
    • Day
    • Night
  • Orientation: 2-day to intake, and clinic area
  • Scrubs: any color except ALL red or all blue. Can mix red and blue

LPN Description of Work

  • Attend sick calls with the physician to patients
  • Prepare examining room and equipment
  • Examine and assess new patients with illnesses or injuries
  • Refer patients to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required
  • Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify physician for treatment orders
  • Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by non-licensed HCPs

LPN Requirements

  • Active/Clear GA nurse licensure
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Successful completion of screening/applicant items (e.g., competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations)
