Job Summary

This position is located at a residential school for the blind with approximately 50 students.

  • Hiring for 21-22 school year

Description of Work

  • Responsible for evaluation of physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases and treatment through the use of a variety of therapeutic agents such as heat, light, electricity, water, and massage
  • Work is performed in accordance with a prescription of a physician following standard therapy practices
  • Supervision of student nurses or physical therapy aides who are receiving practical training in the field
  • Work is performed un the general supervision of a higher level therapist who reviews the work by observation of techniques employed and results obtained


  • Active/Clear Missouri license to practice as a Physical Therapist
  • Graduation from a 4-year college or university physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. Possession of a current Missouri license as a Physical Therapist will substitute for the required education qualification.
  • Ability to follow care plans and/or clinical orders
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other Client screening/application requirements
