Nationalhcs is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) candidates for hospital ICU positions in Raleigh and Cary, NC.
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse is a registered nurse who specializes in delivering care to patients in intensive care units.

Hospital ICU setting
13-week renewable assignments
Full-time
Flexible to float to similar units
Some weekends may be required
Cardiac Unit, Neuro Care Unit, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU (floating to STICU and CTICU), Intermediate Care Unit, General ICU
Some positions may be working with COVID patients
All shifts available
Description of Work
Evaluate and monitor the patient’s condition and progress
Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
Deliver regular updates to physicians, patients, and family members
Begin treatment and monitor doses
If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate physicians
Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit
Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient
Maintain and record patient records
Create and implement effective care plans
Support physicians in areas needed
Ability to shift rapidly between tasks and duties
Adhere to HIPPA requirements for patient’s confidentiality
Requirements
Degree from an accredited nursing program
Active/Clear nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina
Minimum 1-year work experience in a clinic setting
Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
Successful completion of competency testing, drug screening, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other Nationalhcs screening/application requirements
Successful completion of other client/facility screening/application requirements
