Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator position available at an ADATC in Greenville, NC.

Nurse educators are responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and revising educational programs for nurses.

Specifics

  • 13-week renewable assignment
  • Set schedule, Monday through Friday
  • 0800 - 1630 shift

Description of Work

  • Oversee the overall educational needs of facility nursing staff, which includes RNs, LPNs, and HCTs
  • Direct training of nursing staff and other staff as assigned by the CNO.
  • Responsible for data collection and record-keeping for all training provided directly or in conjunction with Nursing Services/Nursing Management in any business line operated by the facility.
  • Documentation will include course content, power points, and rosters.
  • Assess learning needs annually
  • Serve as a resource to and instructing staff
  • Coordinate to meet standards and mandated training, including the performance improvement program
  • Implement short and long-term training goals
  • plan and conduct clinical in-services training courses
  • Coordinate staff development courses
  • Plan and implement policy and procedures
  • Development of annual educational calendar
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program
  • Active/Clear Registered Nurse License (NCLEX-RN) to practice in the State of North Carolina
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in nursing with the main emphasis in nursing or one of the following:
    • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing and a post-master’s certificate in nursing education
    • Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing and nine or more credits hours of graduate-level education courses
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience -OR- Facility specific approval is required
  • Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to follow care plans and/or clinical orders
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other Client screening/application requirements​
