Nationalhcs is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) candidates with PreOP/PACU experience for a hospital in Cary, NC.

Must be willing to be on-call for one 4-hour shift per week overnight

Description of Work
Act as a patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare tea and supporting the objectives of the facility
Assess the needs of individual patients including, but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients
Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status
Formulate a goal-directed plan of care, which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes
Implement care in a knowledgeable, skilled, consistent manner in reaching the desired patient outcomes through nursing procedures
Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available center resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies
Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons and documenting events
Demonstrate applied knowledge base in areas of medical/surgical patient care, pain assessment, and actions of pharmaceuticals and anesthetic agents, laboratory values, safety, and legal issues, and all emergency equipment
Practice effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making
Perform documentation duties on the floor and in the patient record which is timely, accurate, and concise
Work as part of a team in delivering patient care
Requirements
Degree from an accredited nursing program
Active/Clear RN licensure in the state of North Carolina
Post-anesthesia Nursing Certification
Minimum 2-years work experience as a staff nurse
Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
Active/Clear ACLS (American Heart Association)
Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
Successful completion of competency testing, drug screening, background check, physical exam, immunizations, and other Nationalhcs screening/application requirements
Successful completion of other client/facility screening/application requirements
