Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) positions, School campus
Approximately 40 students ages 6 to 21 + approximately 18 severely disabled students
1-week Orientation
Shifts:
Sunday through Thursday
Evening Shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm
Long-term placement assignment
One-half-hour lunch break
Experience with special needs children is a plus
Will have contact with students and staff
LPN Description of Work
This is advanced professional and supervisory, educational, or specialized nursing work
Coordinate, direct, evaluate, and participate in the nursing care of physically or mentally ill or disabled patients or developmentally disabled patients
Serves as the facility-wide nursing supervisor on an assigned shift
Function in a specialized clinical, education, or administrative capacity in areas such as psychiatric nursing, nursing staff development, quality assurance, utilization review of employee health, infection control, oncology, and/or endoscopy
Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision
LPN Requirements
Active/Clear Missouri Professional Nurse licensure
Minimum 1-year professional nursing experience
Graduation from an accredited school with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Direct care experience within the previous year
Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
Successful completion of screening/application requirements (e.g., competency testing, drug screening, background check)
