  • Total of 8 RNs and LPNs needed (minimum 4 of these to be RNs)
  • The center is open 24/7/365, so services would be needed accordingly
  • Shifts:
    • 6:30am-3pm
    • 2:30pm-11pm
    • 10:30pm-7am

Description of Work

Registered Nurse

  • Provide bedside and general nursing care
  • Take and record pulse, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature
  • Apply dressings and bandages
  • Provide direct nursing care including physical care and emotional support
  • Participate in performing nursing assessments to identify the strengths of nursing care needs of assessment
  • Participate in nursing diagnoses
  • Implement nursing components of the master treatment plan
  • Give medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Document and describe nursing care provided, as well as observations and interventions that contribute to the continuity of care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Assist physicians with special procedures and treatments
  • Perform other related work as required

Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Provide bedside care including feeding, bathing, bed making, ambulation, and oral hygiene
  • Taking and record temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, etc.
  • Observe patients and detect deviations from normal conditions recording and reporting signs and symptoms which may be indicative of a change
  • Perform practical nursing duties such as special decubitus care, change of dressings, oxygen and aerosol therapy, catheterizations, bladder irrigations, douches, etc
  • Prepare, administer, and chart medications according to physician orders and under the supervision of a registered professional nurse
  • Assist RN in preparing nursing assessment summaries, preparing and implementing healthcare plans, instructing patients in performing personal healthcare, and performing rehabilitative and preventative nursing care
  • Assist with the admission process and orientation of consumer to the facility; participating in the planning of nursing care
  • Attend and participate in orientation and state agency staff development programs
  • Perform related work as assigned


  • Active/Clear Nurse Licensure for the State of Missouri
  • Minimum 1-year experience
  • Clinical/corrections experience preferred
  • Competence in assessment skills, managing clinic flow, reviewing and teaching about medications, assessing and responding to emergencies or emergent health issues both on-site and as phone triage
  • Direct care experience within the previous year
  • Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Current TB and Hepatitis declaration
  • Experience working with electronic medical records, email, and computer literate
  • Successful completion of competency testing, drug screen, background check, and other agency screening/application requirements
  • Successful completion of other client screening/application requirements
