The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a human resources professional who seeks and qualifies healthcare staff to fill temporary job openings within a client facility. This position will provide and submit complete and accurate candidate profiles meeting specific skillsets, criteria, and checklists predetermined by client facilities. This position will act as a liaison between client and candidates until on-boarding is complete.

Description of Work

Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for coordination with the Assistant Director of Operations for all HCP acquisition activity and functions including daily monitoring of job boards, phone/in-person candidate interviews, and any external marketing activities. This position discusses temporary and long-term staffing needs with the Assistant Director of Operations and with appropriate client contacts to adequately prepare and fulfill client staffing needs. Talent Acquisition Specialist’s functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate HCP acquisition activity and functions including daily monitoring of job boards, phone/in-person candidate interviews, and participation in external marketing activities.
  • Monitor career sites as needed (e.g., The NC Nurse’s Association, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Glass Door, Indeed, Nationalhcs website, social media, print ads).
  • Seek and qualify HCPs to fill temporary job openings within a client facility and provide accurate and detailed information about job openings to applicants.
  • Acquire HCPs and process application paperwork (e.g., reference check, criminal background check, education verification, drug screen, immunizations, license compliance/verification), and assure the accuracy of candidate profiles prior to submission to clients.
  • Conduct telephone screens to assure all applicants meet client requirements and experience levels, and there are no conflicts of interest.
  • Submit complete and accurate candidate profiles to client facilities for follow-up and potential interview, making sure all candidate profiles are accurate and meet all specific skill sets, criteria, and checklists, predetermined by the client.
  • Maintain contact with all applicants and potential candidates to provide updates and client feedback until the point of orientation or rejection.
  • Act as liaison between clients and HCP candidates until onboarding is complete.
  • Utilize Nationalhcs supported software to maintain the candidate database and accurate records of prospects to assure the efficiency of the selection process.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Operations to select the best candidates for a position.
  • Input/Output/Confirm data using Nationalhcs Database (e.g., HCP information, scheduling, client information, generate reports).
  • Prepare activity/results for leadership team meetings.
  • Participate in job fairs and off-site events to create contacts and find experienced HCP candidates.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and business networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Learn procedures and participate in the acquisition of new clients.
  • Support Staff in all administrative duties and assigned project-based work, including but not limited to data entry, uploading items to the database, phone calls to HCPs, double-checks, and collection of all vetting paperwork.
  • Participate in On-call rotation.

Requirements

  • College Degree preferred
  • One-year, full-time Talent Acquisition/Recruiter experience
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
